The Security Industry Authority has published its Strategic Plan for 2026–2029, outlining significant changes to the regulation and standards of the UK private security industry.
The plan focuses on improving the quality of security services, strengthening individual licensing standards and introducing new approaches to security business approval. It also sets out the SIA’s preparations to regulate premises and events under Martyn’s Law.
The SIA says its wider objective is to improve public confidence in private security and enhance protective security across the UK.
